OUR COMMITMENT TO SERVICE EXTENDS BEYOND OUR WALLS

COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS

At Peakland Baptist Church, our commitment to service extends beyond our walls. We partner with trusted local organizations to care for our neighbors in meaningful, tangible ways. These partnerships allow us to respond to real needs in our community—through food, housing support, financial assistance, and compassionate presence.

Here are two of the primary organizations we support:

Food for Thought
Food for Thought is a program of Park View Community Mission that provides weekend bags of food to students in Lynchburg City Schools. Peakland Baptist supports this work by packing 320 bags once a month for students at E.C. Glass High School. Each bag contains a weekend’s worth of snacks and meals—available to any student who wants one.

This simple act of care helps students return to school on Monday ready to learn, knowing their community is behind them.

Interfaith Outreach Association

Interfaith Outreach is a hub for critical support services in the Lynchburg area—helping neighbors with housing, rent, utilities, transportation, and furniture. Peakland Baptist supports Interfaith Outreach through financial gifts and hands-on participation in events such as their annual craft fair, Historic Church Open House, and Seeds of Hope Luncheon.

This partnership reflects our shared values of compassion, equity, and collaboration in service of those most vulnerable.
