AN OPEN KIND OF BAPTIST CHURCH
LET US SHOW YOU WHAT BAPTIST MEANS TO US
AS A COMMUNITY OF FAITH
We are open to all questions and do not claim to have all the answers. We nurture curiosity and value diverse perspectives. We challenge old assumptions, acknowledge doubt, and together seek deeper understanding.
AS AN INCLUSIVE CONGREGATION
We are open for all people, regardless of their background, beliefs, or experiences. Many have found in Peakland the welcoming and safe space they need, while others are exploring if church is right for them. No matter who you are or where you are on your faith journey, here you will find a church that supports, values, and respects you.
AS AN ENGAGED CHURCH
We are open to new ideas and creative solutions in response to the needs and insights of our community. We embrace all perspectives and encourage rich dialogue. Prioritizing connections with one another, we foster meaningful relationships within our church and with our broader community. And we are committed to serving our neighbors in forward-thinking and sustainable ways.

WORSHIP WITH US
At Peakland Baptist Church, Sunday mornings are a time to gather, reflect, and rejoice in God’s love.
Lenten Theme:
Know Thyself/Trust Thyself
The effort to know ourselves well, to know what drives and what stymies us, is a process that opens us to possibilities of growth. During the season of Lent, we will explore spiritual practices of self-knowledge through our sacred text (Ecclesiastes, Philippians and the Gospel of John) and through concepts from the Enneagram. Our Lenten goal involves working toward trust in ourselves, listening for our own voice, distinguishing our genuine voice and being able, then, to listen for God

CONNECT
Faith deepens in relationship: with God, with one another, and with our wider community. That’s why we make space for curiosity, welcome every question, and embrace each person’s journey without assumption or judgment. Explore how we connect in worship and fellowship, in conversation and care.
